The Name Playing Married

When Ben and I were first married it all felt surreal. It didn't feel like anything had changed when the clock struck midnight the night of our wedding. Sure, we had cool new kitchen stuff. Sure, we now lived together. Sure, we were legally and spiritually bound to each other. It didn't matter. It felt like pretend - like we were "playing married" like little kids play house. We were both pretending to be something that was truly above our heads - husband and wife.
It's been a few years now, and though our marriage no longer feels like an exciting practice in imagination, I still like to think that we're playing married. Maybe it's because we're both so immature or because we're a pretty unorganized and sometimes unorthodox team. We seem to still be playing our hands, working out this whole marriage thing, and wondering exactly what our final arrangements will be. Regardless, we're still playing the game of marriage, and I think we're winning (I would turn the game into a winnable competition).

Anyways, I started this blog to document both our adventures - travel, new recipes and new experiences - and our everyday - old friends and random thoughts. Read at your own risk; there will probably be many boring posts with overwhelming amounts of text and yet many that have only pictures or ones that are describing events that are two years old! Forgive me as I try not to care what you think but enjoy reading about all our craziness.
