So far in Arizona, we’ve been lucky enough to have a few visitors. First, John and Chelsie came to visit over Memorial Day weekend. They are some of our best friends; Orem won’t be the same when they move to California for medical school this summer! In our typical style, we didn’t take a single picture. We swam in our pool, ate Greek food, went to a drive-in movie, had a barbeque at Chelsie’s parents house nearby, and overall had a fantastic time. Next time, we will take at least one picture!
The next weekend (June 1-2), we got a visit from Erica, my close friend from BYU Independent Study (my work). We met up roughly half-way between Phoenix and Orem in Page, Arizona and Musashi joined us too.
We drove up early Saturday morning and met up with Erica to tour through Lower Antelope Canyon. It is an amazing slot canyon that we hiked down into and enjoyed the views. Pardon the excessive number of pictures.
The view from the top of the canyon - you could barely tell it was there |

Then afterward we did the short hike to Horseshoe Bend, a particularly scenic (and free) portion of the Colorado River.
Compare the view as we walked to Horseshoe Bend and when we got there. We thought it was pretty funny.
This pictures are amazing. It's too bad that we can't go back there when we come in August. This is a whole lots of posts, Hillary. Very impressive AND very fun to read! Thanks for the updates!
